These terms and conditions may be updated after the time of booking. In this case, the updates will apply to all bookings.
My Values
I aim to bring the philosophy of yoga and mindfulness into my work as well as my life.
This means I will do my best to support you on your journey, whilst providing structure and boundaries. These terms & conditions provide supportive boundaries and provide structure for bookings, packages and the work we will do together.
Your Wellbeing
It is your responsibility to inform me of any relevant medical conditions, injuries or trauma at the start of every session or event.
The guidance and practices I offer should not be used in place of medical guidance or treatment. If you have any medical or psychological considerations please ensure you are seeking the proper medical advice. If you are unsure whether you should join an event or class, please consult a medical practitioner. You hold the responsibility to look after your own physical, emotional and mental health.
Retreat Cancellation Policy
Booking
A non-refundable deposit of £500 is required to secure your space. The remaining balance is to be paid 8 weeks before the start date of the retreat. If booking within 8 weeks of the start date the full payment will be required.
If there is a different payment plan that would work better for you please let us know and we’ll see what we can make work.
Cancellation Policy
We are unable to offer any discounts on early departures, flight cancellations, illness or travel delays. If you need to cancel your place on the retreat, please let us know in writing via email to birdieyoga@gmail.com as soon as possible. We always endeavor to treat cancellations sympathetically, but as spaces are limited and we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat venues, the following applies:
We’ll refund you the full amount you’ve paid minus the deposit if you cancel 90 days before the start of the retreat
Cancellations made 90-30 days prior to the start of the retreat, provided your place is filled by another person, you may transfer the full credit (excluding deposit) to future events within the next 12 months from cancellation. Otherwise you receive no refunds or credits.
Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the start of the retreat, you receive no refunds or credits.
If we cancel the yoga retreat:
In the unlikely event that the retreat must be canceled due our family problems/health or too few participants, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid. We cannot compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. To cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for:
Cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action and strikes, natural disaster, epidemics, pandemics, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, weather or any other events beyond our control
Participants’ medical or psychiatric conditions which may develop prior, during or subsequent to the holiday
Loss of, or damage to, personal property of participants
If you have had any physical or emotional illness within the past 5 years, or are under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must notify us of the details at the time of booking and, where appropriate, enclose a doctor’s certificate of fitness to travel
Non-disclosure of relevant information can invalidate your insurance and cancel or contractual obligation to you
Travel Insurance
In order to participate, guests must have travel insurance. Your insurance should cover the activity of this retreat as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, injury, losses, change of circumstances etc
Cancellation & Rescheduling appointments & classes
Your cooperation and understanding of my cancellation & rescheduling policy is greatly appreciated. I will of course do my best to accommodate personal circumstances, however to honour my own time and energy I have the below boundaries in place.
If you cancel your appointment with me you are not entitled to a refund, however, if you need to change your appointment you may reschedule:
Up to 24 hours before your appointment - you can reschedule your appointment by contacting me directly
Within 24 hours of your appointment - Please get in touch with me to cancel your appointment. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or reschedule your appointment.
I reserve the right to cancel a session at any time. This would usually only be due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, and if you had prepaid, you would receive a full refund or the chance to reschedule.
Multiple sessions
When you purchase a set of sessions, you don't have to book your sessions all at once but they do need to be booked within 3 months.
Payment plans are available on bespoke healing packages of 6 or 12 sessions - just ask
Cancellation of workshops
I cannot facilitate refunds for workshops however your space can be transferred to someone else. Someone you know can take your space and you can arrange that between yourselves.
On fully booked events I can make a space available and if it’s able to be filled will give you a part refund, I will retain £10 of your original payment as a booking and administration fee.
I reserve the right to cancel a session at any time. This would usually only be due to unforeseen circumstances. You will be offered an alternative date, and if you cannot make this date you will receive a full refund.
Please get in touch if anything isn’t clear, and if any of these terms would prevent you from booking I will try to accommodate you as best I can.
